Hello
readers just got home from a movie date with hubby. It’s been two or three
weeks since we last watch a movie in theater due to his busy schedule because
of the election. Anyhow, here we are again back to our normal weekly routine. Tonight
we watched the second installment of Star Trek in the direction of J.J. Abrams.

This
second sequel’s title is ‘Star Trek into the Darkness’. The story begins with
Captain James T. Kirk (Pine) break the rules in order to save the life of Spock,
his alien friend and crew. He was sent back to schooling again, but when a
madman, Khan (Cumberbatch) attacks an archive facility on Earth, he was
reinstated and promoted. Soon Kirk led his old crew that includes Bones
(Urban), Uhura (Saldana), Sulu (Cho), Scotty (Pegg), Chekov (Yelchin), and a
newcomer named Carol (Eve), in a new mission to catch the villain. As they set
their manhunt and captured the Khan, new challenged about trust and friendship
arises. He learned some secret behind this deadly prisoner. Kirk realizes that no
one can be trusted except his crew. And he has to protect them, his only family
from this catastrophe.
The
movie’s sci-fi effects are quite great but there are some camera shaking that
made me dizzy at times. There were also some dragging moment’s scene in the
film, but this lapse can be taken for granted though. The cast did their part
fairly well and the comedic scene and lines were really funny. The movie has
also a very engrossing story with some twist. Overall it was great… J
This
movie is rated PG-13, so parents should know that there some not so bloody
punching and fighting, and some shooting incident too. There was also a scene
where Chris Pine is in bed with two alien girls in underwear. Alice Eve is also shown in underwear. There were also some
drinking in the bar, some kissing and some couple of curses by the characters. So
I advice parents to be with their kids while watching this film… J
